Camel Safari & Horseback Rides in the Canary Islands
A camel ride next to a sea of dunes
The Canary Islands’ climate and vegetation are well suited to camels. In the Canary Islands' area of semi-desert the camels and donkeys have historically been used in agricultural roles here without adjustment problems. Nowadays you’re unlikely to see a camel ploughing a field but there are plenty of places on the Canary Islands where you can hop on the back of a ship of the desert and experience the Canary Islands' countryside using one of the more unusual forms of transport available. The Safari offers you and your family a different excursion, in contact with nature, where you’ll see landscapes not seen by most visitors.
Horse riding in the Canary Islands
Experience a romantic late afternoon on the back of a horse, either by riding through the rough landscape or by galloping on the beach. This excursion is not only for experienced riders. Professional riding instructors will escort you. You can choose to either ride in the beginners or in the advanced group. Kids can ride ponies.
Camel Park was the first camel centre In the Canary Islands. We started in 1988 with 15 camels on a banana plantation in Guaza. In 1993 we already had 60 animals. At present we own a finca, restaurant and organize camel rides. Come and meet us.
Horse Riding Adventures In the Canary Islands offers you a warm welcome from Jim, Sara and all their staff. We are the only British owned and managed riding centre in South Tenerife which specialises in Horse and Pony treks throughout the beautiful Canarian countryside.
